The AI Net-Worth Dashboard Kit

Free · skeleton + review prompt · from the episode "The AI Net-Worth Dashboard: Every Account, One Screen"

When researchers asked, 67% of Americans said they don't track their net worth — and 51% said they don't know how to calculate it (Credit Karma / Qualtrics survey, 1,006 US adults, 2023). It's one subtraction: everything you own, minus everything you owe.

The skeleton (copy this)

One spreadsheet. Four columns: Account, Type, Value, Updated. ASSETS (on top): cash · investments · retirement · property (at a number you could defend) DEBTS (below): credit cards · loans · mortgage NET WORTH = sum of the top - sum of the bottom. (one cell)

Making it update itself — three tiers

  1. Best: your bank and broker already export balances — most will email a statement CSV on a schedule.
  2. Middle: an aggregator app that syncs accounts and exports one file; the dashboard just reads its export.
  3. The manual floor: a fifteen-minute block on the first of the month. Eight numbers, typed in. Even the dumb version beats not looking.
Safety rule, always: the sheet stores balances — never passwords, never logins. Nothing in this build can see your accounts or move a dollar.

The monthly AI review prompt

Paste your sheet, then this:

Compare this month to the last three. Report: 1) what changed, 2) what is off-trend, 3) what needs a human decision. Never move or recommend moving money. Flag, don't act.

Where it breaks — honestly
